Beginner courses

In this 8 day basic course we will learn the principles of Thai Yoga Massage in a practical, understandable and safe way. We will learn movements that are done from a meditative state, present touch and safe stretches. Starting from the feet we move towards the head with daily demonstrations, theory and practice. During the course we will learn an effective sequence suitable for almost everyone.

The class is open to beginners, repeaters and advanced practitioners. It is limited to 10 participants to ensure that everyone gets the attention he/she/they needs. Teaching language is english and/or german adjusted to the participants.

13:00 – 14:30: Lunch Break
14:30 – 17:30: Thai Massage Theory & Practice**
*No morning practice/potluck at the first day. We will start with an opening circle at 9:00.
** On the last day we will finish at 16:30.

Join us for the third edition of our Thai Yoga Massage training, “Stillness and Flow,” at the serene HeileHaus, a green oasis in the heart of Berlin.
In this training, we will explore and harmonize various influences and styles of Thai Yoga Massage. Our main influences include traditional Thai Yoga Massage as taught in the Sunshine Network, the “static work” of master Pichest Boonthumme, the dynamic Thai Yoga Massage style of Chaiyuth Priyasith, and contemporary elements such as Osteo Thai.

We will delve into different rhythms, qualities, principles, and techniques to work in a more creative and effective way. You will learn to resonate with each receiver without force or violence and find a balance between fluid movement and stillness. Understand when and how to adapt treatments according to the client and the situation. We will focus on compassion, opening our hearts, and realizing our true selves, while enjoying ourselves, our community, and life itself.

Although this is a city course, we will offer a morning program similar to our previous retreats. The morning program includes meditation and movement practice, which is highly recommended to prepare us for the floor work.
Following the morning practice, we will have a potluck-style breakfast, offering delightful surprises and opportunities to connect outside of practice.
This course is open to complete beginners but is more tailored to advanced students. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance upon completion. The course will be taught in English.

Fabian Scapan, Jahrgang 1961, autorisierter Lehrer beim Sunshine Network in Chiang Mai. Ausbildung in Thailand bei Asokananda, sowie im ″Old Medicine Hospital″ in Chiang Mai. Yogalehrerausbildung und TTYM Ausbildung bei Asokananda in den Jahren 1998 – 2003 beim “Sunshine Network”. Seit 1997 besuche ich regelmäßig Meditationsretreats im Wat (Kloster) Suan Mokkh in Südthailand.
